1 Timothy 6:17 says, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” Has God been generous to you? Are your needs met, do you have more than what you need to survive? Then yes, He has been good to you! God blesses us with an abundance, so that we can bless others. Why do we expect more from God, when we hoard what He has already given us? We are charged to tell the rich, not to be arrogant and not to place their confidence in their uncertain riches, for they can be here today and gone tomorrow! Instead, let’s tell everyone we come in contact with to put their confidence in God [Jesus]. Because He is our Rock and our Fortress, our Shield and our Strong Tower. He is our Provider and He is Everlasting! Even if we don’t have material wealth, we can all be rich in good works toward others. No matter how poor we may be, materially. we have something to share with someone, and His name is Jesus! Lord, give us eyes to see You, and ears to hear You, along with a pure heart to love You.
