Sometimes we as the human race can get full of self. We like to say that we are Self-Reliant, Self-Sufficient,Self-Determined, and Self-Made… We believe that everything we need we have in our own selves, saying things like, “I can do it myself, or I don’t need no one else!” We see people who do things on their own as strong and resilient people. We often say that they are Self-Motivated, but the truth isthis, we can do nothing on our own without Jesus! It is by the Spirit of God that we move and have our being… People also like to say that, “The Church is a crutch for the weak,” and I agree with that statement because we need Gods strength,
because we can do nothing on our own… we need Jesus, just like we need a crutch to help us walk when are legs or feet have been brokenand we are weak, to be able to move forward, they give us strength when we are weak. So I say, “Give me those Crutches, so that I may walk!” Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Lord, give us eyes to see You, and ears to hear You, along with a pure heart to love You. In Jesus name, Amen!
